Last week, participants of our Immigrant Women Integration Program (IWIP) enjoyed a visit to the @agotoronto as part of our Anti-Oppression & Transformative Justice course!

The tour, led by @mahlikah_moonrise highlighted a variety of artworks and exhibitions from different artists, particularly Indigenous artists, Black women, and women of color. The artists included Robert Houle, Tarralik Duffy, Sonia Boyce, Myrlande Constant, Zak Ové, Kazuo Nakamura, Christi Belcourt, Norval Morrisseau, Rebecca Belmore, Sarindar Dhaliwal, Jinny Yu, and Rita Letendre.

September 30th marks Orange Shirt Day, an annual r

September 30th marks Orange Shirt Day, an annual recognition day for survivors and lives lost within the residential school system.

We take this time to not only reflect on the past, but to ensure we are actively working towards reconciliation. For continued learning and actions we can all take, we recommend to visit the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation with the link in our bio.

We all must continue to listen to Indigenous voices and use our own to ensure reconciliation and fight again systemic injustices.

Our friends at @mothersofpeacerp are collaborating with partners across the city on the annual Community March Against Gun Violence on Saturday, September 28th at Nathan Phillips Square.

This year's march honours victims and families of gun violence as well as the memory and legacy of Louis March, a strong Toronto activist and founder of @zerogunviolence.movement

Join the march starting at 2:00pm!

The Activating Community Leadership community course is back!

This FREE course in partnership with @uspuoft invites weekly guest speakers to discuss important local issues. It is a chance for participants to gain confidence and skills for advocating for their communities!

Lights, camera, action! The Regent Park Fashion Show is on tomorrow starting at 6:00pm!

The fourth edition of the community tradition is taking place on Tuesday, August 27th. This year, we are following our everyday mantra of "sustainability and culture." Sewists, artists, models, and organizers are working hard to make this tradition come true once again!

Come support your neighbours as they walk down the runway and model one-of-a-kind, sustainably-made pieces created in collaboration with local artisans and community members.
